About Double Freecell
Double Freecell is a solitaire card game played with two full decks instead of one. All cards are dealt into 10 tableau piles, and you use 6 Free Cells and 4 Foundation piles to sort them. The goal is to build each foundation up by suit from Ace to King, wrapping to Ace and then to King again. It plays free in your browser, no download needed.
How to play Double Freecell
Move the top card of any tableau pile, or a card from a Free Cell, onto a Foundation pile or onto another tableau pile. On tableau piles, build down by alternating color. Only one card moves at a time, though you can shift a whole valid sequence if you have enough empty Free Cells or empty tableau piles. Free Cells hold one card each, and cards there can go to a Foundation or back to a tableau pile.
Tips for playing Double Freecell
- Empty your Free Cells back onto tableau piles or Foundations as soon as you can, since each one holds only a single card.
- Try to clear a whole tableau pile early. An empty pile, combined with open Free Cells, lets you move longer sequences at once.
- Since there are two decks, keep track of both copies of each Ace and King so you do not block one foundation while chasing the other.
