About Freecell Solitaire
Freecell Solitaire is a classic card game played in your browser, no download needed. All 52 cards from one deck are dealt into 8 tableau piles at the start. Using four Free Cells and four foundation piles, your goal is to build up each suit from Ace to King on the foundations, moving cards from the tableau and cells as space allows.
How to play Freecell Solitaire
Play by moving the top card of any tableau pile, or a card sitting in a Free Cell, onto a foundation pile or another tableau pile. Tableau piles build down by alternating color. Any top tableau card can be moved to an empty Free Cell to free up a play. You can move a whole sequence of cards at once if you have enough empty Free Cells and tableau piles available to support the move.
Tips for playing Freecell Solitaire
- Empty a tableau pile early when you can; an empty column is one of the most useful spaces for moving sequences.
- Don't fill all four Free Cells at once, keep at least one open so you always have a place to park a card.
- Look for aces and low cards buried in the tableau and work toward freeing them first to start your foundations.
