Backgammon is a classic two-player board game played with dice and checkers on a board of triangles. Each player races their stones around the board and off the edge before the other. In this version you play against a computer opponent, right in your browser, on any device.
How to play Backgammon
Click the dice on the left side of the board to start the game and to throw them each turn. The numbers you roll tell you how far you can move your stones. Click a stone to select it, then click again to move it along the triangles. Try to move all your stones around the board and bear them off before your computer opponent does.
Tips for playing Backgammon
- Try to avoid leaving a single stone alone on a point, since it can be captured by your opponent.
- Group your stones in pairs or more on a point so they are safe from being hit.
- Plan both dice moves together, since combining them can open up better paths across the board.
