Updated

Offering, advertising or taking payment for these online money games is now against the law in the country, which matters whether you were using WinZO as a money earning app, playing Zupee for cash, or trying MPL as an earning app.

If you still have money sitting in one of these apps, that is a separate question from whether you can keep playing. This page explains what changed, how to try and get a stuck balance back, and genuine ways to earn a bit without ever putting money down.

What actually changed

India brought in the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025, and the Online Gaming Rules 2026 that followed it, came into force from 1 May 2026. Together they stop any online game where a person pays a fee, deposit or stake with the expectation of winning money, whether the game involves skill or chance.

This covers the real money formats on apps such as WinZO, MPL, Zupee and Dream11, including cash ludo, cash teen patti, cash rummy and paid fantasy contests. Offering these games for money is not allowed, advertising them is not allowed, and taking or processing payments for them is not allowed either.

What is still fine

Free games without any stake, fee or deposit are treated differently under the rules and are not banned. That is why an app can keep a free-to-play mode running even after its real money mode has to close or change.

Rules like this can change, and enforcement can vary. Check the current position in your state before assuming anything about a specific app.

If you have money stuck in WinZO, MPL, Zupee or Dream11

A stuck or frozen balance is a problem between you and that app, not something PocketsFull can fix or get involved in. The only route is the app's own channels.

  1. Open the app and look for its help section, support ticket system or customer care contact, and raise a request explaining your balance and what you expect.
  2. If that does not resolve it, look for the app's grievance officer or nodal officer details, usually listed in its terms, privacy policy or a grievance page, and send your complaint through that channel.
  3. Keep records of your account details, transaction history and any replies you get, since you may need to refer back to them.

There is no shortcut and no third party, including PocketsFull, that can recover money from another company's app on your behalf.

Why this is not a way to earn

Even before this change, cash ludo, cash rummy and paid fantasy apps were never a reliable source of money. A stake can be lost as easily as it is won, and a balance can end up frozen with no way to use it, which is exactly what has happened now to many WinZO, MPL, Zupee and Dream11 users.

None of this is a job, an investment or a fix for a money problem, and nothing here should be read as encouragement to deposit money into any such app, in India or anywhere else.

Apps like WinZO that do not need a deposit

PocketsFull works differently from WinZO, MPL or Zupee: there is no stake, no deposit and no entry fee at any point. It is a genuine alternative for anyone looking at apps like WinZO or games like WinZO but wanting something that does not risk money.

On PocketsFull, members take paid surveys and complete offers, which are tasks from partners such as trying an app or game or signing up for a service. Each survey or offer adds its reward to the member's balance once it is completed and confirmed, and the balance is later redeemed, not built up by betting stakes against other players.

Some offers, including game offers on the Offers page, ask the member to install or open a game and reach the steps the offer lists. This is different from a real money game: there is no entry fee, no opponent and no chance of losing money, since the reward comes from completing the steps, not from winning against anyone.

Free games for when you just want to play

PocketsFull also has a separate section of free browser games. These need no download and no sign-up, and they are there purely for fun, with no reward attached. They are a straightforward alternative if what you actually want is a game to pass the time, without any money changing hands in either direction.

How you get paid on PocketsFull

The redeem screen shows what your balance can be turned into once surveys and offers are completed and confirmed.

For members in India this includes local gift cards, UPI, PayPal and Litecoin, and exactly which gift card brands and other options appear depends on your country.

UPI payouts go to a UPI ID, the kind you get from an app such as Paytm, PhonePe or Google Pay, and there is no option to top up another payment app's wallet balance directly. If you were hoping to move WinZO, MPL or Zupee winnings into a different payment app's wallet, that is not something PocketsFull offers either way.

Frequently asked questions

Is WinZO banned in India?

Real money play on WinZO, along with similar apps such as MPL, Zupee and Dream11, is not allowed under the Online Gaming Rules 2026, which came into force from 1 May 2026, since these apps charge a fee or stake with an expectation of winnings. Free-to-play modes without any stake are treated differently and are not covered by this ban.

Can I still withdraw money I had in my WinZO or MPL wallet?

That depends entirely on the app's own process, not on PocketsFull. Raise a request through the app's support or help section first, and if that does not work, use its grievance officer or nodal officer contact listed in its policies.

Can I move my PocketsFull balance into another payment app's wallet?

No. PocketsFull's payout options for India are local gift cards, UPI, PayPal and Litecoin, and UPI payouts go to a UPI ID rather than topping up another payment app's wallet balance.

Are apps like Zupee or MPL a good way to earn money?

No, since any real money format on these apps involves a stake that can be lost, and balances can also become stuck or inaccessible, as has happened for many users after the recent rule change. A site like PocketsFull, where rewards come from completing surveys and offers rather than staking money, avoids that risk entirely.

Do I need to pay anything to join PocketsFull?

No. Joining and using PocketsFull is free, and members are never asked for a deposit or a payment of any kind.

If betting or real-money games are causing you or someone close to you harm, stop playing and talk to a local support service or a doctor.
