Opinion Bureau is an online survey community owned and run by Internet Research Bureau Pvt. Ltd. (IRB), a company the brand's Privacy Policy describes as registered in New Delhi, with a separate company registration given in England and Wales as well.

Members answer market research surveys and polls about products and services, and collect rewards that can be redeemed once a minimum amount is reached. The India edition of the site runs in rupees, alongside separate editions for the United States and the United Kingdom.

How members earn on Opinion Bureau

The main way to earn is taking online surveys: a reward is credited once a member qualifies for and completes a survey, and it is approved after the survey closes and the answers pass a quality check. Taking part in polls is a second way to earn.

There is also a referral programme that pays a fixed bonus once a referred person signs up, activates the account and completes a first survey, and a joining bonus that becomes redeemable after the account is approved and the member completes a first survey. Opinion Bureau's own pages state these as fixed rupee or dollar amounts depending on the edition, but this page does not repeat those figures.

Opinion Bureau's Rewards page states most surveys take between 5 and 25 minutes, with the estimated length shown before the member starts.

How it pays and who can join

Opinion Bureau's Reward Policy and help FAQ list PayPal cash, Amazon gift cards, gift cards or coupons from other popular retailers, virtual Visa or MasterCard, and cash coupons or country-specific coupons as redemption options. The member picks one of the options available at the time of the redemption request, and reward codes go to the registered email address. Which of these options are actually offered to members in India is not published on the pages checked.

The India edition states a minimum redemption of Rs 250, while the United States and United Kingdom editions state their own minimums in dollars and pounds. Opinion Bureau's Rewards page FAQ separately mentions a minimum of "$5 worth of points", so the figure that applies to any one member is the threshold shown in the "My reward" section of the member's own account.

Joining is free, and the Terms say Opinion Bureau never charges a membership fee. Opinion Bureau is open to one account per person, always tied to the email address used at registration. The Privacy Policy states the services are not designed for anyone under 16, and the account is verified and approved after a first survey is completed following activation.

Opinion Bureau's own Reward Policy and Rewards page set out the reward timeline: a survey reward is approved or rejected within 30 days of qualifying and becomes redeemable 45 days after the survey is completed, while the help FAQ describes this as 45 days after the survey closes plus seven more days to credit the reward. A redemption request can then take up to 15 working days to process, and the Rewards page separately says a gift card code usually arrives by email within 10 working days. The Terms say an unredeemed reward expires twelve months after it becomes redeemable, though the help FAQ separately says reward points do not expire.

How PocketsFull differs

PocketsFull is a rewards site where members take paid surveys, complete offers (including game and app offers) and collect rewards that are redeemed for gift cards. Joining and using PocketsFull is free, and there is no deposit or payment at any point: rewards come only from completing surveys and offers.

Not every survey fits every person, so being screened out partway through happens to everyone from time to time. Keeping the profile complete and accurate helps a member get matched to more surveys. PocketsFull also has a separate section of free browser games that need no download and no sign-up, though these are for fun and do not pay rewards. PocketsFull has an Android app on Google Play, and the website also works in a phone browser. The minimum age to join is 13, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or legal guardian's consent.

How PocketsFull pays

The payout box on this page shows the redemption options for the reader's country. In India that includes local gift cards, UPI paid to a UPI ID such as one from Paytm, PhonePe or Google Pay, PayPal and Litecoin.

A redeemed gift card is sent to the member's registered email address. Opinion Bureau's listed options such as a virtual Visa or MasterCard card are not a payout choice on PocketsFull.
