How members earn on Mistplay

Units are earned mainly by playing mobile games launched through the Mistplay app: active playtime and reaching milestones add units, and each game has its own unit multiplier.

• Inviting friends through the referral programme, where it is available
• Loyalty gems from in-app purchases in eligible games, which can be exchanged for units

The terms state that units cannot be redeemed for cash, and that a member may redeem at most 550 US dollars, or the local equivalent, in gift cards or other rewards per calendar year. Units also expire if none are earned within a 180 day period, with 30 days' notice given first.

How Mistplay pays and who can join

Rewards can be redeemed as gift cards from retailers such as Amazon, Google Play, Walmart, Starbucks, Sephora, Target, DoorDash, Uber, Xbox and GameStop, as a Visa prepaid card, or as a PayPal reward sent to the member's email address. Which options show up depends on the member's region, currency and account.

A new user must be at least 18 to sign up, the app is free to download and use with no credit card needed, and full sign-up has to be completed before any gift card can be redeemed. VPN use is against the terms of use. The exact minimum points needed for a reward are not published; Mistplay says thresholds apply but shows unit prices only inside the app.

Mistplay is available on Android through Google Play, and as an iPhone app for users in the US or Canada. No web version for earning is described on the pages checked.

How PocketsFull compares as an option

PocketsFull is a rewards site where members take paid surveys, complete offers, including many game and app offers, and redeem the rewards they collect. Joining and using it is free, and no deposit or payment is ever asked for.

Playing games on PocketsFull works through game offers listed on the Offers page: a member installs or opens the game and reaches the steps the offer sets out. Some offers take between 7 and 30 days to confirm, and each offer states its own confirmation time.

PocketsFull also has a separate free-games page with browser games that need no download and no sign-up. Those are for fun only and do not pay rewards.
