How app install offers actually work

An app install offer is set up by the app or game company and run through a rewards platform. You install the app, open it and complete the steps the offer lists, such as reaching a certain level or finishing a tutorial. Once the company confirms you did this, the reward is added to your account.

Not every offer is worth your time, and not every offer will be available to you. Offers change often, and what you see depends on your phone, your country and sometimes your device history.

• The offer screen should show the steps clearly before you start.
• A genuine offer never asks you to pay, deposit money or enter card details to begin.
• Confirmation can take time because the app company has to verify you actually completed the steps.

What to watch out for

Be careful of any site or app that asks for money upfront, whether it is called a registration fee, a deposit or a joining charge. A legitimate offer rewards you for an action, it does not charge you to start.

• Avoid pages that promise a fixed amount for every single download with no steps to complete.
• Skip anything that asks for your bank login or UPI PIN instead of just a UPI ID.
• Be sceptical of claims that sound too easy, such as earning large sums for a few taps.

Real-money games are not part of this

Some apps marketed as earning apps are actually real-money games, where you pay a fee or stake and play for a chance to win more. Under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025, offering such online money games, and advertising them, is not allowed in India, and the Online Gaming Rules 2026 set out how this applies from 1 May 2026. Free games with no stake are treated differently and remain allowed.

Rules can change, so check the current rules that apply where you live before using any app that involves paying to play.

How you get paid on PocketsFull

The options below show what is available to redeem your balance, and they depend on your country.

In India, you can redeem to local gift cards such as Amazon, Flipkart or PLAYSTATION, or send your balance to a UPI ID from an app like Paytm, PhonePe or Google Pay. PayPal and Litecoin are also listed on the redeem screen.
