How to play Shisen-Sho
Look at the tile layout and find two identical tiles that are free to select. Draw a connecting path between them that uses no more than two 90 degree turns. If a valid path exists, the tiles are matched. Keep finding matching pairs and connecting them until the board is cleared.
Tips for playing Shisen-Sho
- Scan for tiles near the edges first, since paths can run along the outside of the board.
- Before matching a pair, check whether the path would need more than two turns, since that connection won't count.
- Look for matching tiles that sit close together, since shorter paths are easier to trace without extra turns.
