Remote jobs in Sweden and other ways to earn online

Where to look for remote jobs in Sweden

Most online jobs in Sweden, including remote and work from home roles, are listed on general job boards and professional networks rather than on reward or survey sites. LinkedIn and Indeed are commonly used to search by role, location and remote filter, and Glassdoor can help with company research before applying.

Searching for remote jobs in Sweden works best with specific terms: the job title, plus words like remote, hemifrån or distans alongside the English terms if you want wider results. Filtering by Sweden and remote together narrows listings to employers who hire across the country rather than one city only.

Freelance jobs in Sweden

Freelance jobs in Sweden cover writing, design, translation, programming and virtual assistant work, among others. Platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr and Freelancer connect freelancers with clients worldwide, including Swedish businesses that hire remotely.

Virtual assistant jobs in Sweden

Virtual assistant work often involves email management, scheduling, data entry and basic admin support, usually handled through tools like Gmail, Excel, Google Sheets or Google Docs, and calls over Zoom. These roles are listed on the same freelance platforms and general job boards, often under titles like administrative assistant or executive assistant.

Data entry jobs in Sweden

Data entry jobs in Sweden are usually freelance or contract based, found through the same platforms as other freelance work. Tasks typically involve entering information into spreadsheets or databases, often using Excel or Google Sheets.

Be cautious of any data entry listing that asks for payment upfront or promises fixed daily earnings: legitimate employers and clients pay you, not the other way around.

Side hustles in Sweden: surveys and offers with PocketsFull

PocketsFull is an online rewards site, not a job or an employer. Joining is free, and there is never a deposit or payment required to use it. Members earn rewards by completing paid surveys and offers rather than by being paid a wage.

Surveys are market-research questionnaires from survey providers. Completing one adds its reward to your balance, though not every survey fits every profile, so being screened out partway through happens to everyone from time to time. Keeping your profile complete and accurate helps match you with more surveys over time.

Offers are tasks from partners, such as trying an app or game and reaching the steps listed, or signing up for a service. Game and app offers are found on the Offers page, and some offers take between 7 and 30 days to confirm before the reward is added, since partners need to verify completion first.

PocketsFull also has a separate section of free browser games with no download and no sign-up required. These are for fun only and do not pay rewards, unlike the game offers on the Offers page.

How PocketsFull pays members in Sweden

The redeem screen for Swedish members shows local gift card brands alongside PayPal and Litecoin. Options depend on the member's country, so what you see reflects what is available in Sweden specifically.

Gift card choices for Sweden can include brands such as IKEA, Åhléns, H&M, Cervera and Playstation or PSN cards, and a redeemed gift card is sent to the email address registered on the account.

What to watch out for

• No legitimate reward site or employer ever asks for a deposit or payment to join or to start earning.
• A job or freelance listing that promises a fixed daily income with no real work described is worth avoiding.
• One account per person applies on reward sites: using a VPN or fake details to create duplicate accounts can lead to restriction or suspension.
• PocketsFull's minimum age is 13, and anyone under 18 needs consent from a parent or legal guardian.
